We proudly announce that we sent our first student to Germany on Oct 5th 2016!
Putri Mentari Ginting went to SMAN 1 in Sekupang, Batam. She is a very smart, intelligent and very high motivated student. She finally take her first step of her future in Germany. Oct 5th 2016 as her first day in Germany will be an unforgetable day for her. She trust Freshman Institute of Fachhoschule Aachen to prepare her to achieve her dream as a female mechanical engineer.
She dreams to be part of RWTH Aachen, one of the best university in the world. After long preparation in Indonesia, especially for language program, she finally passed the placement test to be in a class with 100% german language. Congratulation Putri! Now it is only to be get the best mark in all subjects and we are very sure as always YOU WILL MAKE IT!! We all know, you will be in RWTH Aachen next year.
By end of October 2016, just about two weeks after her arrival in Germany, we had a chance to visit her in her dormitory in Geilenkirchen. Although facing a cold spring, she seems very happy, healthy and enjoy her days in this dormitory and school. She lives in international community, in an apartment with 2 rooms and shared kitchens and shared bathrooms. Her housemates are 2 girls from Vietnam and a girl from China. They all speak English.
We made a little trip to Cologne. We tried a ride using RE (Regional Express) Train, tried to understand the routes and schedules. For sure we saw the famous cologne dome, shopping streets, bridge love locks, and the Rhein river. It was a fantastic day with her!
